Here is an email we received with some information about Hector from his brother:

I happened to be browsing the Internet and stumbled onto Roy-Hart’s upcoming reunion. Needless to say, I was surprised to see my brother Hector’s picture. He has visited the U.S. once (about 6 years ago) since 1965. I’m Bing, one of his younger brothers (Maryland). We also have a sister in Chicago, a sister in Burbank, a sister in San Diego, and a sister in Vancouver. Hector’s oldest son graduated from the Philippine Military Academy and is now a 1st Lt. with the Philippine Army Rangers. His daughter graduated from the University of the East (math major).

Hector has not stopped working ever since he came from the U.S. in 1965. In fact, like a true American (who are known for their independence right after high school), he moved out and worked his way to college. That was unthinkable by Philippine standards. We are known to live with our parents until we get married. Not Hector. When he visited us for a few days 6 years ago, I was able to trace one of his “foster brothers” from Middleport (Paul Anderson) who happens to live now in Ellicott City, MD. and they did get to meet.

Reunions are exciting. I went back to the Philippines for my 25th in 1993. I’m not sure if my brother could make it though. Needless to say, I thought I’d drop you a line to let you know how Hector has been. You may also visit the website I made for our family—ltgenileto.com. You would find Hector’s family under “Our Homes – Manila” and also “Our Schools - Philippine Military Academy.” His son’s name is Rookie and his daughter’s name is Daphne.

2015 Update:   Thank you very much for your invitation for me to attend the 50th reunion of Roy-Hart's class of 65. It is unfortunate however that I cannot attend our class reunion due to financial difficulties. My wife died September 27, 2011 because of colon cancer. After an operation in a hospital, this has drained my savings. I had to take care of my wife in my house for seven months. Secondly, I cannot leave my house since I am all alone and it is not safe due to bad elements in the area. I am hoping for your understanding.

Note: I am using my daughter's website. You may contact me thru any of these.
