After high school graduation, I attended University of Buffalo for 2 years before deciding to take a position at Doolittle & Co. stockbrokers (now Advest) in Lockport. For 5 years I worked with a great group of people at that office and very much enjoyed the brokerage business.

In 1972, I married Bob McGraw and moved to the Rochester area, where Bob was employed at Eastman Kodak. After six months of acclimating to Rochester and married life, I started my 31-year career in banking. Throughout those 31 years, I survived and endured many bank mergers and acquisitions, but decided to pass on the most recent acquisition of Fleet Bank by Bank of America and retired as manager of the Corporate Loan Administration function in Rochester.

Bob was already retired 2 years as a production manager from Kodak, and now, faced with the wide world of how we could spend the rest of our years, we decided to winter in Florida, at least for this year. We’ve spent our vacation time each year with family get-togethers in Florida and the Thousand Islands, and every February took some time, just the two of us, for some R&R away from the NY winters and vacationed in the Caribbean, Mexico and Hawaii.

We are avid golfers and have had the opportunity to play many wonderful courses throughout our travels and at home. In addition to golfing, I’ve recently taken up tennis, and enjoy crafts, gardening, kayaking, anything outdoors that keeps me busy while Bob indulges in his passion of fishing and hunting!

Although we don’t have any children of our own, we are an adoring aunt and uncle to several nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews! And, we are especially fond of our blonde cocker spaniel and long-time constant companion (15yrs), Bobbie.
