After high school, I served in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 through 1970. I spent 2 years with the Hurricane Hunters in Puerto Rico and the rest of my service in Texas and Europe as a crew chief on the C-130 aircraft.

My first son Christopher was born in Puerto Rico in 1968. (He’s an artist and works with Office Max.) My second son Neil was born in Abilene, Texas in 1969. (He’s married with 3 children and works for the Post Office in Vestal, NY.) My third son Scott was born in Medina, NY in 1977. (He’s the manager for the Big Flats (Elmira, NY) Bed, Bath and Beyond.)

I received my Associate’s degree in accounting from Broome Community College in Binghamton, NY and my BSBA from the University of Buffalo.

In 1972, I started working at FMC Corporation in Middleport, NY and transferred to FMC R&D in Princeton, NJ, where I worked until 1979. I then moved to Vestal and started working as an accounting manager for a small manufacturing company in Endicott, NY. In 1984, I took a position as assistant to the controller with Allied Corporation, Amphenol in Endwell, NY. In 1986, I was fortunate to get a position with the Defense Contract Audit Agency in the Department of Defense, and am currently working as a senior auditor at Lockheed Martin Systems Integration – Owego in Endicott.

After my divorce in 1996, I started DJ’ing part time on the number 1 radio station in Binghamton, NY -- WHWK “The Hawk.” After 1 month, I met my current wife Margo on a blind date and we were married in October of 1997. We’ve been able to meet many of the top country artists, such as Reba McEntire, Wynonna, Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson, and Toby Keith, just to mention a few. I really enjoyed DJ’ing, but working 7 days a week can take its toll and I gave it up at the end of 2001.

In January of this year I had my esophagus removed (cancer) at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, and I just started back to work part time in March. My surgeon says I am 99% cancer free and I am doing great, due largely to the many friends and family members we had praying for us and the wonderful church we belong to, Christ The King Lutheran in Vestal, NY.

We are blessed with three lovely grandchildren -- Carter, age 71/2, Connor, age 6, and Collette, age 31/2 -- and we can’t see them enough.

Margo and I live on a hill which overlooks the south side of Binghamton with our 7-pound poodle, Cato. We enjoy traveling and visiting lighthouses, as well as spending time with our grandchildren.
