Al Webster
After RoyHart, I had a short stay at Delhi College, when both the college and I decided that we weren't made for each other. I then went back to Middleport and worked at FMC for a few months, then on to SigmaMotors. After a few years of that, I decided to get out of town. I got a job at Kodak and moved to Rochester around '68. I got married to my wife, Jan, who’s from North Rose, NY, in '74.
After 12 years of good ole George Eastman, a friend and I started a vinyl repair business. I eventually took the business over myself and expanded it to making boat tops and interiors, which is the majority of my work now.
We never had kids, but the work keeps me busier than I want. We were in and out of boats (we live on a spit of land between Irondequoit Bay and Lake Ontairo, in Webster) but now have a motorhome that we enjoy traveling in, when time permits, or I get the bug -- whichever comes first.
My Dad passed away about 5 years ago, and my Mom passed this past December after living (sort of) with Alzheimer's for about 10 years. Terrible disease.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the "Gala.”
