After graduation, I attended Niagara Community College. majoring in business administration. I then joined the USAR, serving for six years. In 1969, I married Donna Schultz (RHCS class of ‘66). We have a daughter Jennifer and a son Jason. In 1996, we acquired a son-in-law, Dave. We now have two granddaughters, Emily, age 3, and Allison, age 1. I am still telling Jennifer that I am too YOUNG to be a grandfather!
During my work career I have supervised and/or managed warehouse/inventory control operations for several companies in the area. I am currently working at Adesa Auto Auctions of Akron in the facility operations department. Retirement is on the horizon.
In my spare time (what is that?) when I am not being entertained by the granddaughters, I restore and collect antique automobiles. I have several, some are award winners. Some are not. My son and I do most of the work ourselves, with cost being the motivating factor. It has been an enjoyable hobby (trying to keep it a hobby is the real work), through which I have met many interesting people and gone places I wouldn’t have been.
The last forty years have had some highs and some lows, but for the most part life has been good to us. We get up in the morning and take on what is presented to us for the day and make the most of it.
