2015 Update:
I served in the U. S. Coast Guard from 1966 to 1970. After that, I attended Erie Community College, graduating in 1972 with an AAS in Electrical Technology. I then joined the IBEW local union in Niagara Falls, becoming a journeyman electrician, after serving a 4-year apprenticeship. In 1974, I married Viki, an import from Batavia. We have two sons.
Jason works for the State of Alaska and also pastors a small church in Tok, AK. He and his wife Kelly, have given us four grandsons. Brian works construction locally and has given us a granddaughter. It is simply grand being a grandparent.
In 1985, we designed and built a solar home on Gasport Rd., just a few miles from where I grew up. We enjoy the country, close to good hunting with lots of peace and quiet.
I retired in 2005 (the first time, anyway) from the union after 32 years of service. I guess I have now finally, really, retired after doing three and a half years of electrical inspections until the company went out of business. I am enjoying my hobbies and helping out as an EMT on the local volunteer ambulance.
We have toured the U.S. twice, once in 1976, and again with our sons in 1991. We plan to do more camping, maybe touring across the country again with our 5th wheel camper now that Viki is retired.
I enjoy antique Ford cars and own four in various stages of completion, ranging from a 1925 Model T Ford to our latest acquisition, a 1953.Ford 2-door sedan we recently brought home from California.
